Mine drains even after restricting SimpleX. Which Pixel model are you running GrapheneOS on?

P8pro. What I've found out that stops draining is when I set notifications to check periodically.

Interesting, will have to check that one out but I think restricting is even better as when I tried to enable periodic notifications, it asked me to mark it as unrestricted again.

Correct. Restriction is allowed when you set in the app to get notified when you open it.
