I think it's like crossing a milestone, it's another digit added to the dollar price, so it's a convenient point to take notice.

My dad is well into his 70s now, and he's tech-averse. He completely gets inflation and has had his own ways to try to avoid it.

He just can't quite get his head around how Bitcoin works, but is happy to see it grow.

I always explain : we mined the gold with physical power for centuries, isn't it time to make computers do the mining? Isn't it the natural way of progress to start mining Bitcoin using specialized computers?

I think part of it is he likes to stick with what he knows. He lives quite a simple life, so his current investments and pension suit him just fine. A genuine #Boomer

I sometimes wonder if Peter Schiff is similar, where Gold does everything he needs it to do, it's tried and tested over a long period of time, he can see it, touch it, so on. Why risk it for something he doesn't properly understand?

Makes sense. Non portability of gold should be an argument and fact that it can be so easily confiscated...but I kinda get older people.
