Until you have too many apps and people manipulate ratings. Then you need someone to curate.
Then someone will pay off the curators or they will select baed on their own biases…

It’s kind of the point of curation …
Paying off can be good - just sell ad space. Seems reasonable to me.
Yeah another potential marketplace. Not saying it’s bad just that there are trade offs everywhere.
