That kind of aggressive goal-setting should be rewarded whether he finishes or not. Maybe whatever % completion of the trilogy he gets through, give him that % of the original wager.

I don't think it's delusional at all. Seems like he has a good sense of his own capabilities.
Fair enough. I still think that not enough people today have a sense of "delusional optimism" and that it is a positive trait which should cherished and nurtured when we live in a society that loves to tell people to live in fear and scarcity.
