I am a Zap convert. It just makes sense.

It puts energy and value behind our interactions in cyberspace, something sorely missing from most of social media.

It’s not about money. It’s about tying what we do on nostr to the real world.

Likes are virtual. Zaps are real.

I didn’t turn likes off out of greed, but because I believe it simply makes sense. I’ve paid out more zaps than I’ve received.

Likes are an acknowledgement, I don’t need acknowledgment from others, that is for me to work on to be comfortable with myself.

The zaps are a signal that real value is being exchanged, not simple acknowledgement.

This is all an experiment in doing things differently, hopefully without an advertising model.
