The thing is, as far as I can tell, none of the major nations have anything ready for a consumer facing CBDC ( FedNow is an institutional clearing level ) - and the financial system is coming unglued faster than they can build one.

That’s why I always suspected they would have to try to co-opt something already up and running, like Ethereum.

Maybe that’s the endgame of this regulatory crackdown.
