I'm positive thats not really him.

How so? Because it's really you?

He is financially incentived to avoid all social media protocols as he needs to sell his platform.

I agree that he needs to keep the focus on Twitter, but I believe he is curious enough to have checked out Nostr for himself. Of course he would do it somewhat covertly (which I know is an argument against this being him) because he wouldn't want to make a big splash in Nostr. That could be why he doesn't verify himself here.

I think this was an early account he used and then abandoned. At least the npub and some of the notes and replies looked plausible to me:

For the record, I'm not CONVINCED it's him, but I'm open to the possibility.

It could have been a bot someone had setup to scam people out of zaps. My assumption is a copy paste of twitter similar to what nostr:npub1z7eqn5603ltuxr77w70t3sasep8hyngzr6lxqpa9hfcqjwe9wmdqhw0qhv seems to do.

That's a good theory, and I don't rule that out either. It might even be more probable. Here's a screenshot of a DM I had a while back with this newest " nostr:npub1axu67906kw0zyj9z6hzv5x4uqzh4e5xtp9rr7ml4mrujmy3wrk3sehyh58":
