i am INTJ. explains why i'm a bit judgemental and impulsive. i think the NT is the important part, intuitive and thinking.

Yes, the NT part is the core. It's part of what makes someone an engineer, even if they didn't get the degree or job title. They really like efficiency and what works! 🙂

artists are often NTs too

Ah right. My husband is amazingly good at guitar (according to the level of guitar players I've met) and I think it might have been NTs and not just his personality type, who enjoys a mix of creativity and intellectual work 🤔

There's a book called, "Please understand me II", and it calls the SP types artisans, but they have a weakness of being a bit flakey, but they also tend to be masters of their chosen artistry.

yeah makes sense. i personally mostly want to move from mastering one thing well enough to design something on it, and then make a new design on another thing. this does not lead to mastery of any given craft but makes it quite easy for me to adapt to new projects in my work as a computer programmer. it's more abstract, and not so much about mastery as about enumerating the structure of something.

so, i know a good bit of like 6 different human languages, but never mastered one

i can play guitar, recorder, and keyboard, but never mastered one

the first time i have actually really dug in and decided to master some things, first one was golang, second was bitcoin. third was nostr. but they are protocols, not practices. i'm immune to nonsense fud and disinfo about these subjects but i only master them as far as i need to apply to working with them.

i guess that's the thing about being intuitive. you don't really need to master something to be able to catch the pattern and elaborate it jazz style. AI systems are kinda similar, in that you feed them a load of data, and they distil a pattern out of it and then you can get them to freestyle a new version that mixes it all up.

so, i'd say that NT is a very common result for people with high intelligence and creativity. and the cool thing is we are kinda rare, like maybe 10% of teh population has the combination. by the numbers, i'd guess we are 2/16th of the population.

Cool, thanks for sharing.

Sounds like your mastery might be more programming, than the actual specific project, maybe?

Yes, at least in America, most people are sensors.

I'm from Sweden, and it seems there might be a higher density of Intuitive, maybe even NT, people there, as the country is basically run more on what works and technical language, than the American sensing and cooperation.

I'm INTJ too, but I took the test several times and once I got INTP.

When I was younger and took tests the P and J would swap, based on what I was going through at the time, but I'm definitely a P!

The J tends to work more on "Should's" and black and white, and the P is really good at being open and seeing a bunch of different options.

My husband is amazing at deciphering people, and I love watching him do it. We'll talk to a cashier or barista or someone we meet when we're out and about, and he'll ask a few casual questions about them, and then he'll start telling them about themselves, how they function, and sometimes why things might seem confusing to them because of how others act.

I love watching their faces as they feel known and seen and understand more than they even realized about themselves! It's so fun!

I think a majority of NTs can be found on Nostr, cause it's a lot easier for them to understand the abstractness of bitcoin.

yeah, i got intp when i was younger but now i fairly consistently get INTJ so it obviously changes with age. i figure "wisdom" makes you more quick to decide
