Men tend to be in power because wielding power is a dangerous act of violence.

Women can only be in power if men abdicate power, but then we are only in power at their leisure, which is a form of benevolent condescension that promotes cognitive dissonance. I think society pays a high price for this, especially when it tries to enforce strict quotas.

I prefer to focus on making sure representatives are truly considering the interests of all constituents.

To illustrate, I wouldn't feel better represented by a female radfem, socialist from Seattle than by a Catholic family guy, Bitcoiner from Annapolis because I'd expect him to at least know and like people more like myself.
