Why do so many people absolutely need to have an answer for everything? There's nothing wrong with saying "I don't know"

A human response to being asked a question is to try and present an answer.
A stupid human response, yes. An intelligent human response would be to say "I don't know" followed by "How can I gather evidence that could point to a possible answer?"

Majority don’t realize this. Some have been conditioned by family or in other words Environments. Others realize this in a later period of time , probably maturity. But I agree. Technically we don’t all know everything therefore instances of not knowing something exist.

This was one of the biggest realizations of my life. Up until then, I truly believed I had to have an answer for everything, an opinion on every single subject or otherwise, I was failing somehow. Letting go of that idea was so freeing!
