Hum.. maybe the custom emoji update deleted the restriction. A lot of clients don't show more than 1 char.

The intent may be one, but the way its written anything is allowed for content, including markdown.
Yeah I think that's wrong. It should be just one emoji, either regular or custom. Otherwise it becomes a multiline reply.
