What if a random citizen that just happens to life in a country that sponsors terrorism zapped you? What if you zapped them? What if some 3 letter wants to track down every single cent that β€œsupports” terror funding?

Not very likely and Yes I am being extremely extra but just thinking of what ifs.

If you are not going to be 100% on your opsec hygiene then maybe go with a wallet that doesn’t ask for information? Or break the link with fedimints or ecash address?

yeah I gotta get onboard with the trade offs of easy to use to more privacy focused solutions, I’m just so used it being easy n efficient but the risks outweigh the efficiency n easy to use for sure, thanks ghost πŸ«‚πŸ€

No problem. I am not trying to freak you out. You are most likely fine. I am sure that you are a law abiding citizen that a government has no interest in and you and I are not getting the scrutiny or interest that Jack gets from people.

But just remember that data sticks around forever. One day in the far future even owning 500 sats could be a big deal. Bad actors could be very interested in the early days of generational wealth we causally zapped around.
