If you can find a place to make bulk purchases of your meat, that can reduce cost considerably. You will probably have to invest in a standalone freezer, however I'd wager it'll pay for itself in under a year.

I don't have the freezer space in my trailer. Next phase of home prep will be a freezer in my tow vehicle so I can buy 1/4-1/2 beef at a time.
