Man, I wish I was autist enough to run Linux 😞 How’d you learn?
Discussion
I learned by the tutorials to install Linux. And then just by trying to install apps.
Lots of tutorials available. I find it has gotten much easier over the years. The new installer is very good, but I just upgraded. So many benefits, I never looked back from windows. Much faster and more secure. Never worry about malware. All the apps are also opensource and update automatically. No worry about licenses. Just create another partition, and leave the old one in case you want to boot back to windows for any reason. Even Microsoft is supporting Ubuntu/linux now.
Oh wow. Ok, this is way over my head. I’m gonna learn in public for a minute 😅 Do you have any resources you’d recommend? Like a YouTuber perhaps?
I have a windows PC, and from what I hear, Linux sounds like way better. That is, if you’re a person with the #bitcoin mentality of open source, no spyware. You know, freedom minded? That sort of thing. Not sure if this is all accurate though. I’m not even in the beginning stages of being a hacker-man, so I don’t really KNOW lol
Be curious and learn. Google is your friend and so is chatgpt
You can test Ubuntu linux from a USB flash drive. You can start with this tutorial. This one is for Windows so I don't have experience with it. I am on a Mac. It's not hard, just be willing to learn. You will most likely be surprised by Linux. Let me know if you have questions, I'll do my best to help. Cheers!
