I’m going to use this as a salient motivator for my own training. Plus, heart disease and other sedentary-linked illnesses are major killer so multiple birds with one stone haha! Sprints and interval work will be a heavy emphasis in the near future 😁
I once did a rubber knife drill with a buddy of mine. We're both trained martial artists. 3rd party judging. No running away, you must defend the attack.
Neither of us was able to make it more than 10 seconds without getting cut. We couldn't make it 30 seconds before the first wound that was bad enough you'd die if they wanted to kill you and no one intervened.
You were right to run away.
