Satoshi(s) or sats, is supported by Bitcoin Core. As are 3 alternative units, BTC or bitcoin, and 2 much less recognized units, milli-bitcoins and micro-bitcoins.

My version of Bitcoin Core (27.1) supports 4 units related to display of quantity.

The 2 most commonly used are BTC (bitcoins) and Satoshi (sats - 1/100,000,000 of a bitcoin).

But also available are mBTC (Milli-bitcoin - 1/1,000th) and uBTC (Micro-bitcoin (bits) - 1/1,000,000).

New comers to an economy that have a standard are expected to adopt and adjust to the units. The whole of the ecosphere is not responsible to accommodate late arrivals.
