told my Swedish acquaintance he can stay until Monday. i had no set plan for how long he could stay, but "over the weekend" seems about right. he's interesting but also a bit worrying to watch, because he lacks a lot of the mental barriers that most people have. not malicious. more like completely disillusioned and living in survival mode.

one thing i'm noticing is that he's so accustomed to being in street survival mode that he'll go get a meal from a soup kitchen despite being my guest. he doesn't seem to expect anyone to help him. he's a little too far gone in a way. lost his faith in humanity.
