Quite the leap of logic, but no. Profit is good. So are principles. Profit at the expense of your own principles is not a good road to find yourself on.

What’s your acceptable level of profit? I’d say since day one for me I was in for a hedge oninvesting and my financial future and when I had a kid that stayed number 1.
On a personal level, which is what this post was about, when my pursuit of profit comes into conflict with my other goals and priorities, which are also based on my principles, then it’s time for me to take inventory and decide where I need to make a course correction in my life. Not sure there needs to be an amount attached to it. Making money in itself is not a problem. But if making more money is someone’s highest priority, then they will sacrifice other things important to them to achieve that, be it family, hobbies, health, morals, etc. I’m not trying to define what those other things should be for anyone else.
Milton Friedman pointed out a businesses only responsibility is to maximize profits. Anything else is a waste of shareholder money. If you are not trying to get as much profit as possible your competitors will
