The why’s why so many people (in the fediverse) dislike bridges to make content portable.

I dislike bridges because they typically mean that I am excluded from followup discussions that take palce on the bridged network unless I also make an account there. It should be my decision where my posts are shared. "Good" bridges are opt-in and thus need explicit consent from me. "Bad" bridges use opt-out, if at all. When I find a "bad" bridge, I block it. That's all.
