Modern liberals (the people) are not anti-bitcoin they, like most, simply do not understand bitcoin. Modern “liberal” politicians however are simply artifacts of America’s Ivy League credentialist, institutionalist, boomerist, and fundamentally authoritarian political monoculture. They cannot accept bitcoin because it violates their world view - that bitcoin does not require institutional management is an existential threat to them. This goes for all politicians however.
