Dear #gunstr frens #pewpew amigos, help me out.

I am looking to acquire a new shotgun, this time not a break action, which are beautiful and great for clay, but something that can be relied on for WSHTF.

I can't resist the appeal of the Mossberg 590 (with wood furniture, I can't stand plastic), but I keep hearing that nowadays semis (namely the Mossberg 940 Tactical and the Beretta A300 Patrol) are as reliable as a pump, with none of the disadvantages (basically the expected easier recoil).

The struggle is real and I have to make a decision.
