Bought a Razer Phone 2 while I still ran an iPhone XR and realized that, by sheer chance, the RP2 was bootloader-unlockable and had device support in LineageOS.

It's been my daily driver since! But there's been problems lately (app-uri's dont work at all) so I might switch to /e/.

Oh, and I am using the GrapheneOS camera. It's sooooo gooooood! The best looking and working FOSS camera app out there, by a longshot.

If you have the money it's well worth buying a Pixel 6 or 7 to run full GrapheneOS.

Top security and privacy. Optionally you can use the Play Services but they're sandboxed just like any third party app so they have zero special access and only the permissions you grant.

I'm gonna soon be selling Pixels preloaded with GrapheneOS for sats âš¡

Nah, I like my RP2. :) I am actually waiting for some of the new foldables like the Razer+ to have their shell cracked - software-wise, obviously. This'll be fun! I also saw GrapheneOS working on the Pixel Tablet... now that would make one fine smart home display alright. Added it to my wishlist, this could be amazing!

I've not looked into Razor phones since they were first released, would you recommend one then?

I personally would wait a couple years more before buying a foldable. I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and after a year the crease in the middle of the screen became very noticable and the screen protector you can't remove has a load of dust under it.

I think it'll be a couple more generations before these stand the test of time, which you want them to given the prices.
