That is an interesting observation. How's the local coffee though ?

Iām intl a lot and Starbucks is usually the easiest way to guarantee finding cold brew (most non-US countries super far behind here). Almost every country has at least one unless sanctioned, super small or super undeveloped.
In Riga I remembered this place from last year though with excellent cold brew https://maps.app.goo.gl/dMzZLxkL7GLYiHaP6?g_st=ic
oh nice, the places closes early huh ? There seem to be several cold brew when searched for it at riga. Rocket Bean Roastery has one of the highest positive review. Maybe cold brew cafe exploration can be part of the list this time around too =)

mmm, i have a lil baby pod espresso and it has a cold press setting
the toasted bean juice comes out a lot more pale, more like coca cola coloured, and has a much gentler flaver, i might have to try this
been experimenting with doing my washing with cold water too, just sorta seems like the thing to do
use the hot to sterilise stuff but most of the time that's not needed, and honestly i think the stuff that comes through with hot water in coffee is not so good for my belly, but i know the caffeine is still coming through pretty good, it's quite soluble stuff
I make all my own cold brew these days after forking over $15/day for last 8 years
with my pods i probably spend about $4/day at most, and the machine cost me $85 - and i don't even have access to the cheap supply at the bigger supermarkets
but for sure especially if you have a coffee mill and some nice pyrex funnel and some unscented tissue paper you can have perfect cold brew with no gritty bits and 15-20 minutes brew time
i prefer the pods, i'm lazy
Found Kalve Espresso Room this morning.
Legit 10/10 would recommend.
