the economics of drivechains are the most important part of the game theory, and somehow after 6-7yrs no drivechain proponents, from what i understand, have thought to test drivechains on a chain w real economic value to see if they work.

If bitcoin has reached a stage where the argument is , test new features elsewhere first. It is doomed to fail.
A competing project will develope a bitcoin killer and we won't see it.
The entire point of drivechain is to make it more ressilient to competing projects.
