I never watched Benny hill! But it looks hilarious!

What's your favorite twilight zone episode? Or like... Most effective to you?

I think for me the most effective was the library one when he broke his glasses. But my favorite is the one where the lady had plastic surgeries like a ton of em and when she came out she was gorgeous, but all the doctors were like we failed! And she looked in the mirror and screamed. Because all the normal people in that universe were like super ugly.

I remember the plastic surgery episode! But, yes, the library one hit the hardest. You could just feel the anguish after his glasses dropped.

Riiiighhhhhhttt

And I don't remember if it was shot this way... But it's definitely directed this way in my brain, which means it's a great episode because it's burned in there

But I don't even think you can see him really. Can you? I think his glasses fall. And he just goes no! Then the camera pulls back and you see all the steps and the books with pages flaking in the wind. Yes a small dot on the screen when he falls to his knees. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo why good

And I think it starts to fade into the studio set and rod seeing standing there while you hear "I had all the time in the world! I had nothing but time!"

And Rod seeing begins his soliloquy "a man with a passion for literature..." Sort of deal.

Hm, there are a lot of good episodes of the original Twilight Zone. Two I especially like are “The Hitch-Hiker,” which was based on a Lucille Fletcher-penned radio play, and “The Midnight Sun.”

Classics!

Midnight sun is so good! It's a shame that when you Google it now twilight pops up because it's the name of can fiction from the name perspective of those books 🤷🏽

I’ve never seen a Twilight movie nor read any of the books.

Perhaps not coincidentally, one of my favorite movies is Carnival of Souls, which is sort of like an 80-minute episode of the Twilight Zone. Viewers seem to either love it or think it’s stupid.

I watched that for the first time maybe 4 or so years ago. I can definitely see that. I don't know if I made that connection but it's pretty obvious now
