About to start reading Andy Weir's Project Hail Mary. I want to read it before I see the movie, hoping it's not too over hyped 🀞

I’m feeling very conflicted. So often a movie doesn’t live up to a book.

So I’m wondering if I should wait and see the movie first and be less disappointed with the movie, but potentially ruin the ending of a great book. Or read the book first and then accept the natural order of things. πŸ˜‚πŸ™„

Option 3 could be to wait for your book review and make my decision from there. ☺️

Pressure is on! πŸ˜…

I guess the trick is to never expect the movie adaption to live up to the book. At this point I just want to enjoy a good book 🫣

I very much enjoyed this book. It took me back to discovering sci-fi as a kid. There's kind of an innocence to it. You will enjoy it if you liked The Martian.

I can't believe I have to wait 9 months for the movie now...

Looks like I’m buying a new book this week!! πŸ˜‚πŸ“š

Thanks for letting me know πŸ’œ

And purchased! πŸ’œ

Also purchased extras… πŸ“š

I go in for one book!!! πŸ“•

Always happens πŸ˜… that's what bookshelves are for 🫠

Is it your first time reading 1984?

It will be yes!

Though I haven’t decided on which order to read them yet and the new books are competing with my existing TBR pile, which is a good problem to have! πŸ˜‚

Great πŸ™‚ hope you enjoy it!

I'm betting on overhyped

It's a pretty interesting and unusual book, but I didn't think it was at the level where it would earn much hype. But yeah probably better to read before seeing the movie.

Rather than the other way around

It's an excellent book if you accept a lower level of emotional maturity.

Put yourself in the shoes of a highschooler or middle schooler and it slaps.

Read it before the movie was announced and really enjoyed it.
