i like data, i think we can always learn from it so from time to time i like to look through stats.nostr.band and see what it is saying

We spent most of 2023 hovering around 20k (sometimes below) weekly active users. We are now hovering over 25k weekly active users. the movements of the orange coin have been helpful for the purple bird app. No doubt the tik tok ban helped but that is more likely just the past couple of weeks.

Retention had improved with people that joined in Nov/Dec 2023 sticking around at a higher rate but the most recent new nostriches are back to middle of 2023 levels.

Zapping, denominated in sats is down. I suspect if this was denominated in dollars it would be closer to flat with the recent price surge.
