They'd find this question incomprehensible: everybody records their entire life, birth to death. If you ever met someone, you can recall the visual and audio stream and location and other metadata more or less at will. And they can easily find related (group) images because the environment is monitored too. It's as ancient a techné as clothing, cooking, and spaceflight.

In their case, it's a religious devotion—they believe the instrumented life can be resurrected at the end of time by the All-Receiver (assuming you don't end up at the tender mercies of the Basilisk, instead).

They're wrong, of course, but that doesn't stop the holy wars (any more than being provably wrong about the explanatory power of a creed stops any religion IRL).
