We need deepfake/AI pen testing of assisted multisig and Ledger Recovery setups in the same style nostr:npub17u5dneh8qjp43ecfxr6u5e9sjamsmxyuekrg2nlxrrk6nj9rsyrqywt4tp tests seed backups. Can you deepfake yourself and get a key signing approved? Of course don’t mess with other people or be a jerk, but testing how robust these systems are is extremely important, and I suspect they’re much worse than people assume. If so, your multisig setup is really only one key theft anyway from being stolen if another is an easy deepfake away.

Only dumb people uses Ledger recovery..

Using Ledger recovery is give away your keys to a third party..

You can call people dumb or you can accept that there will always be a majority of people who see complete self custody as riskier than the alternative.

I accept that, that is a really but my sentence still true. Or if you want to be political correctness you can call that being a less literate person.

I don’t start by call people dumb. This stuff takes a lot of time to understand. You can’t expect everyone to be at the same level. Doesn’t make them dumb.

I understand your prespective Daniel, but i don’t agree.

I have my opinion, and i know it takes time to learn, and this things are not easy in the beginning, but when people have the tools to learn and they choose not to learn they are what in your perspective?

We live in a messy world because most people dont take time to learn how the things are beside the access on information, and society now are soft and accept dumbness as a good thing.

It remembers me the normalization of obesity when its just stupid to normalize a desise.

And for me, that is being dumb.

Most people simply don’t have the time to commit to grasping new and complicated concepts. You can have a PHd and an above average IQ and still be uncomfortable with the idea of DIY banking. And assuming we get even close to the level of global adoption there won’t be a feasible way for everyone to hold their own keys on-chain.

Calling people dumb turns them away and makes us look arrogant and condescending, which is probably a big turn-off for new people.

Sometimes it's difficult to talk to people because they are overly sensitive and can't differentiate between calling someone stupid and calling an idea stupid.

My statement that only foolish people give their keys to third parties isn't directly calling anyone stupid, but it's provocatively suggesting that those who think it's a good idea may not be the most intelligent.

This is similar to when I say that only idiots believe Ethereum is decentralized. I'm not calling anyone an idiot unless they genuinely are.

If you look at my statement, I didn't say to the person, "You're stupid." I just made a subtle jab that the idea is truly foolish.

Daniel, I consider you an intelligent person, and I believe it's not very difficult to understand that being too lenient in accepting stupidity is what has made our society so flawed in various aspects.

I don’t know who that guy is, but thats a really dumb idea.

You know, Daniel, people who are not responsible for themselves and always want someone else to take on their own responsibilities are either childish or cowardly.

This is an actual panelist from the 2023 Miami Bitcoin conference. Clearly someone who should know better.

Brother, speaking at a conference doesn't automatically make someone's ideas the best.

Blind idolatry leads people to the same old problem of trusting without verifying.

If Satoshi were to appear now and say that Bitcoin should become a proof-of-stake (POS) system, does that automatically make it a good idea?

For God's sake...

Wait...you don't think I agree with this guy...

I know you don’t, you aren’t dumb 🤣😉

self-sovereignty and 100% responsibility of your wealth is a paradigm shift away from the entrenched central banking system

permit people the time to go through the learning curve

Of course
