I used my share of tipbots back then too.. that got spent at bars taking bitcoin. But its ok.
Money is supposed to be used as money. Not as a speculative asset.
I will help friends offramp their coins for fiat too, and also offer them to buy back the same coin within a timeframe for the same price.

My belief is a speculative asset is an assigned attribute by the buyer and holder. It will be used by people in a way that makes the most sense.
Speculative also is a dirty word used by a lot of fiat bros to trash Bitcoin while promoting bullshit unprofitable companies.
1st world countries will use it as a store or value and there will be speculators. A subset like us users on Nostr will be using it in multiple ways.
Global south can and will be using it in different ways.
