Strange op-sec conflict. I’m selling some equipment from my business. Would love to advertise it for sale in Bitcoin but don’t want to invite a wrench attacker to my place of business.

When Bitcoin payments become ubiquitous, transacting in it won’t put a target on you, but until then asking for payment in Bitcoin kind of sends a message to the wrong people. This would require someone showing up in person.

The chances that I find someone willing to pay fair price in Bitcoin for this specific equipment is pretty low anyway so for now it’s easier and safer to take fiat and buy bitcoin myself, but I’m starting to look for more opportunities to trade directly in the best money. How are other people dealing with this?
