Sam Harris has lost the way.
His insistence that we have no free will is absurd on its face.
But he's right, we don't have free will, at least as far as physics is concerned. Given a powerful enough computer, the motion, charge, spin, etc. of every atom could be determined, including those that make up the neurons in your brain. Thus, the decision-making process happening in your mind is itself deterministic. However, there are far too many variables for this to ever be computed, so the way our brains have evolved, we perceive the world with free will.
I like the way Christopher Hitchens put it:
'You have no choice but to have free will'
You’ve fallen into the trap of thinking you are separate from the universe.
You are one with the universe. Indeed, you *are* the universe.

Meaningless woo-woo in the context of freewill vs determinism discussion. But inspiring nonetheless; same as this:
And not have a brain(collective conscious satélite) or civilization eroding from inflammation abuse and unhealed trauma……
Your gods and devils can go f@ck themselves. A figment of a vivid human imagination. The sooner we kill god the better the human race will be.
