Has this conference increased the number of bitcoin holders? The number of nostr users? Lightning adoption? Bitcoin in self custody? Has it changed the temperature of the water in a single swimming pool? Anything?

Or did all anyone get was 3 days of corporate announcements that could have been done with an email to a press outlet?

Looks like all that really matters are the Bitcoiners who got to meet irl for the first time and nobody needs a convention center for that. Might as well have rented a Colorado ranch in a valley. It would have been cheaper.

The only one of these things I’ve been to is BitBlockBoom and THAT was kick ass . . . and the Kerrville Beef Initiative summit which was also kick ass.

I have to agree with you here. Lots of nothings all over the show.

What gets me after viewing the event is all the cheap talk of citadels. Bitcoin cities, towns, Saylor etc. He could buy a town/city in most places around the world and start a bitcoin only economy. Why isn’t he doing that because ultimately he wants power.

Why are we wasting our time with these conferences. New users don’t want conferences they want festivals. I’ve said this before that nobody I know likes a conference. They want music, entertainment, enlightenment, community, art, poetry. Real shit. A music and arts festival that has its own bitcoin economy > shows people that it can have real world use.

Festivals are when people open up their minds to ideas.

I shall stop here.

A continuation of this idea could also take inspiration from the great Bob Dylan and his rolling thunder tour. (Great documentary watch)

-Starting by booking small venues in towns across America, South America, Europe and Asia. The tour consists of music, talks, performances, art.

Bitcoiners and new users can join the tour when they please and leave when they please. All Bitcoiners could donate to keep the tour rolling. They can put folks up for the night or share venues they have good contacts with. Local Musicians can join the tour and play at the venues bringing in revenue streams to help with the tour itself. All this can be played out over #Nostr and other platforms. Imagine have many plebs could be involved helping and joining in along the way. Lots of people want to be a part of this movement in a more physical way. Let’s help that happen
