Not if you can access umbrel over your phone either a public static ip or only local network. My relay works with tailscale so far without issues.

Mine is via Tailscale but yes there’s other routes too. Tailscale is pretty easy.

I could only ever get mine to work with Amethyst. None of the web clients worked because umbrel uses insecure websockets.

Yes, I don't have the logs now but the console on the web browser was complaining about mixing a secure connection (https) with an insecure connection.

This is the error I was getting in the console.

Refused to connect to 'ws://192.168.10.103:4848/' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "connect-src wss://* 'self' https://*".
