one of the key themes in the Qur'an is the idea of a "warner" who comes to the people with a message from God that if they do not turn away from the corruption they have fallen into, that God will bring a deadly disaster

this happens in the Sodom and Gomorrah story, and the Tower of Babel story, and the Great Flood story, it is a theme throughout biblical texts, indeed you can say that Daniel performs the task of warner in his account as well

John the prophet, in his book, also is bringing a warning, and as you go through the text of Revelation, it is clear that some parts of it refer to events long past, but later parts, after about 16, refer to events yet to come

what this is about is quite simple and reasonable, actually

disasters happen on a semi-regular basis, and on longer timescales, the geological evidence is they are almost like clockwork, evey 6000 years a major, widespread catastrophe occurs, and less often, even more destructive catastrophes punctuate the normal rhythm

human society has a brittleness in it, that once corruption permeates through the fabric of society beyond a certain point, it is nearly impossible for it to be reformed, and this is where you your Sodom and Gomorrah and Babel and other similar situations

disaster is coming regardless of your opinion about how to "fix" society, and the reason why this is considered by biblical writers to be "from God" is that what it delivers is the actual effective reformation of human society

to end the corruption of a late stage empire, in a long lasting way, you have to destroy all of its large settlements, they literally have to be wiped out, only a tiny fraction of its population survives

this is also how the Babel "confusion of languages" occurred - many of the survivors of the earthquake/flood/volcanic eruption/hellstorm that destroyed the cities of the civilization, often are the small who get forgotten by their corrupted guardians trapped in some structure that survives the conflagration, and they emerge, and with their incomplete understanding of the language and history, grow up, find partners, have children, and pass on their incomplete stories and languages, creating this "confusion"

we are overdue for one of these now

the account in Revelation suggests that the fall of Babylon and Rome were just the warm-up, for a really big one that will see the legacy of the corruption in the modern era finally stamped out completely

it is just a fact of the nature of humans and the history is consistent as is the archaeology

there are a few of us Warners around in these times, and we will keep telling you that the reset is coming, but at some point we will be like Lot, no option any further to remain and no turning back, and our seed will continue but those who refuse to see the futility of fighting the corruption and the inevitability of the total collapse not just of the society but of the entire physical matrix that supports it, will be caught up in it

i prefer to believe that we will be given the gift of new life and training to live at the level of angels and sent out to go forth and multiply

still will be disasters and errors and sin but petty ones that rule this world will be nothings

It reminds me of the story of the Indian ocean earthquake/tsunami that happened in 2004. A lot of people saw the sea receding and went to catch fishes, just to get caught in a deadly tsunami. Meanwhile, a lot of animals got away from the coast, they knew somewhat instinctively what was going to happen

It's a sad reality that people cannot see the disaster looming on the horizon, and even when told to look, and warned about it, they just keep on heading towards it. I've long been able to sense it coming, but it's such an intangible feeling, so undefinable, that I merely sat back and watched it curiously, not knowing whether or how to act on it, unable to find anyone who is willing to see it.

yeah, the time scales are relatively long compared to human life but when the events are looming, there are many signs

i follow thet Space Weather guy on youtube, Suspicious Observers, and every day he drops lots of information relating to the looming disaster for our times, and it is Great Flood level, by all the information i have absorbed about it

on one hand i pray that Jesus literally will come and evac us to a safer place elsewhere, and on the other hand i'm plotting my move to high altitude, far-from-ocean spot (current favourite is Mongolia) and dreaming up plans for how that survival will actually be feasible

but before the big nasty oceans washing across most of the land stuff happens, there will be grid down, sattelites falling from the sky, and never mind WW3, yes there will be war really soon but that's gonna get cut short by this stuff in the next 15 years at the very longest timeline... there won't be much of a war without the tech, and once that all gets fried then they burn up their stock of materiel and most of the world's population has to live in the Steam age or die

I don't see sea levels rising to such an extent... after all, God promised not to send another flood.

But a place far from "civilization" is generally a good idea, I think.

because of your training by the establishment environment monetary debasement distraction hoax you assume this means rainfall and/or ice melt

if the crust of the earth became loose around the core, and the current magnetic fields between the core and the are able to realign in a more balanced way, the entire crust of the earth will slip about 90 degrees south, the estimates are that the north pole will move to roughly where the gulf of mexico is now

such a movement will cause the entire ocean to experience a massive coriolis effect and wash across over the north in americas and towards the south around the area of the indian ocean

there is ample geological evidence of such vast amounts of water washing away loose soil and depositing it rapidly in layers, one place where you can see this is the Grand Canyon, which is primarily composed of sedimentary rock (washed away soil) that has compacted rapidly into hundreds of layers

oh yes, the official story is yada yada took millions of years but if it took millions of years, why is it flat as it would be if it were a massive amount of water in which the soil was suspended and settled out over a period of several months?

as for not sending another flood, i believe the exact expression in the later chapters of Revelation is the entire world would be set on fire, which is even worse, and unlikely to not also involve a lot of water moving around (at minimum, boiling water), and as it also says in there, and in Enoch, and several other places, the plan for moving the people is what the whole second coming and judgement day story points to

i think, move to the high mountains far from the sea, and pray to God and Jesus to be protected as the time nears

it seems rather obvious to me that this formation in Mauritania probably was caused by a massive amount of water, and i tend to agree that it could have been the location described in Plato's Critias, a land marked by a massive river called the Tamrasset and crisscrossed with canals and a city built atop a massive ancient epic extinct volcanic ring

there is other places especially in desert regions where you can find other signs of massive water movements, and anywhere that sedimentary rock has stacked up hundreds of metres thick in almost perfectly level layers cannot have been formed slowly, or it would be far more undulating

No, I do not think that about rainfall or melting ice caps. I've never believed the mainstream propaganda. Well, except maybe briefly in my childhood.

The continental shift/crust movement is more plausible, but that will take much longer to develop.

As for the predictions from the scripture, my thinking is that whatever revelations the writers had were filtered by their understanding of the world as it was back then. Where they saw fire, today we can only speculate whether they have seen actual fire, or massive explosions such as those of nuclear weapons, or something else, which they interpreted as fire.

just want to emphasise... "washing away the soil" requires a lot of energy to be in the water, which means it has been moved far from its normal position in the basins of the oceans

think of image of the spacecraft rising out of the sea in the first episode of the new Dune movies... when that much water moves around, it takes quite some time for it to return to its level, you can see it happening in small scale when you pull an object suddenly upwards out of water, it takes time for the water to return to its repose in the container

now, imagine that half the ocean gets suddenly thrown sideways up onto the land, and think of the complexity of the contours and dips and curves of the land, and that the way the land may have been shaped by evaporation and cloud formation was dictated by the wind and the mountains rather than the particular direction the water flowed from... there will be a lot of resistance to it coming back to the level, but likely it would return to normal after a few weeks to maybe at most a couple of months... some contours will retain water longer than others, but all that loose ground, if it is hit hard by a lot of water even the deepest rooted trees will not hold it, it will be washed away, and as is the process for sedimentation, the heaviest, biggest, most streamlined objects will stop moving first, and then progressively smaller, and less streamlined particles will settle over top

and whenever water moves in one direction, it often hits a barrier and washes back the other direction, and it can happen that as it returns to its place a wave comes from the opposite direction and washes it back again where it first went

this much more clearly explains how you get progressive differing layers of sedimentary rock forming, each layer the slosh-back from waves of oscillation as the ocean slowly loses its momentum over weeks

i mean, idk, it's pretty epic to think about, what would happen if the earth were to suddenly shift 90 degrees in any direction, how long it would take for the water to all fully return to the sea

it takes weeks for floods to subside, and this is 100x more water movement
