When people talk about Occam's Razor as if it proves something, rather than being a bullshit detecting heuristic, then ... yeah. Also, it's much less useful outside of maths and formal logic, which is what William of Occam was focused on when he coined it.

Whats your definition of simple? Whats simple to one person may not be simple to another.

I do believe most things can be explained simply. But there is more incentive in society to make things complex, and to hide simple. Complexity pushes people to use experts third party. Society encourages this. Independence is undermined. So simple answers are not encouraged, even though a simple explanation answers the question. Complex answers are difficult to understand and locks out most people, society thrives on complex answers. Its a very effective tool to control the masses and take away power from individuals and transfer to those few.

I do believe most complex answers can be explained simply. Use of simple words fixes most complex answers. But I refer back to definition of simple. Its pretty subjective really.
