Yes, the server compress the images as webp. It is a modern image format.

But I'm going to disable it today ( the images will be compressed as jpg) until damus allows webp to be displayed like the rest of the formats.

That’s why I was asking! Damus displays them as a web page. Good promotion for you though 😝
