My mother is in the middle stages of Alzheimer’s and my father is her primary caretaker, but he has help during the week from hired caretakers. We found out four years ago and it caused me to put my life on hold for three years. It’s a devastating disease and we need a cure. But I’m finally having a kid in a few months so it’s nice to have something positive in life to look forward too. I wish you all the best in your journey. Keep putting one foot in front of the other, stay strong, and know that even in the darkest situations, love is more powerful than the pain.
