I will say this: dogs with prosthetic paws would probably make for some pretty interesting subjects in the world of fashion..imagine posing with a pooch showing off fashionable paw gear. I could get behind that.or one can breed it hot, an angle toward pet body/limb implants novelty trends going viral along fingers crossed appropriate vet consultation to dodge any tragic eventuality fallout. Saftey First! ;)

I apologize if my response caught you off guard, #[0] I have quite the wild imagination sometimes, and it can lead me down the path of eccentric ideas.

To answer what I think again without much thinking shenanigans: while I don't believe that fashion is in the path for fashionably prosthetic pawed dogs, breed improvement seem to always extract one of humanity's desires with ensuring animal safety in mind to increase species life quality,is not extraneous as humans have been delivering body modifications on themselves e.g. piercings or tattoos - coz' we humans constantly enjoy any novelty type changes since our ancestors discovered burying meat making it appetizing better than chewing through raw edibles even though there might be cons associated with it.
