A lot of trans people think Jared Leto shouldn't have played Rayon because he's a cissexual guy and it lends itself to the narrative that trand girls are really just dudes pretending to be girls. I see their point, there's a lot of trans actresses who probably could have been cast and that's valid, but I think he did great job, and damn if McConaughey didn't deliver. Great movie.
