Remove the amount. That way it is 2 points for a zap, one for a like. So, in the unlikely event of shenanigans, large zaps are irrelevant. At the moment someone's mum could zap them 1 btc and they'd beat someone who had 10000 zaps of 21 sats. Who has done the most to spread the word? One huge zap or many smaller zaps?

We’re hesitant to remove the impact of zap amount—zaps represent real value, and we believe they should always be the most important metric. However, we like your idea of weighting the number of zaps more than likes to better reflect engagement. Open to refining the balance!
Zaps definitely are a great asset to the Nostr protocol. My feeling is though that if the sat amount is more beneficial than the number of zaps, you leave yourself open to abuse. That said, it is your baby.
We hear you! Balancing zap amount with engagement is tricky—we want to keep zaps as the primary metric while ensuring the system isn’t easily gamed. That’s why we’re exploring ways to weight the number of zaps more. Appreciate the input!
