That being said. When my node was offline. I heard something about configuring your Bitcoin node and run your own version of the mempool. Do I need a firewall aswell?
Anyone here who can help me figure out on what to do? And how to do it? Is it necessary?

You don't need to run your own mempool. I've had performance issues with it on umbrel.
You are probably using Tor with your umbrel so don't need a firewall unless you configure it to use clearnet.
You don't need to configure bitcoin node unless you are a power user.
