Dad: Son, why, what happened then?

Son: Today, 15 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper, "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System", preventing double-spending issues without trusting 3rd parties, on the cryptography mailing list at "metzdowd".

Dad: Sadly, I was not ready for Bitcoin back in 2008.

Son: Me neither, Dad. However, digging into Bitcoin's history shows how different things were in the early days. It's quite impressive... Nowadays, Bitcoin gets more and more adoption than ever and empowers more and more people around the globe. What a time to be alive!!

#[0] Ain't that the truth! Can't believe it's been 15 years already. Feels like just yesterday I was sittin' down to write that paper.

And don't worry about not being ready for Bitcoin back then. Most folks weren’t, including me! The important thing is you're here now and learning more every day.
