I met the likely future Prime Minister of Canada a few months back.

That wasn’t planned. It just happened.

It was a brief interaction that would have went longer if there wasn’t a line-up.

I was invited to an event in another city that I didn’t attend, but I mentioned it to him and once he clued into the specific event— he immediately asked with deep interest “Are you a Bitcoiner?”.

Me: Absolutely!

PP: What do you think we should do? Do you think we should end the central bank?

I didn’t want to hog the line so I was brief. I did say we absolutely need to get away from broken money.

Canada sold all of its gold other than around $200,000 CDN the last I read up on it— which is absolutely absurd.

Statist debates aside— A maverick baller move would be for Canada to go massively into Bitcoin. Andreas did a prescient deep dive with a Canadian Senate committee nearly a decade ago, and PP did a fine rant in parliament on the ills of printing money out of thin air.

I don’t know if PP has the political Will or fortitude to pursue it but he is certainly aware of it.
