Bitcoin companies can go fuck themselves. I’ve been actively trying to work at a bitcoin company as an accountant at any level. I’ve yet to receive an interview even though I’ve went as far to DM the recruiters and explained my case. Honestly it doesn’t make sense. Especially since I’m applying for entry level jobs and I’m currently a director of finance of a multi national corporation with over a 15 years of experience in banking & public accounting. I’m out here trying to work for passion since I no longer need to work and I can’t even get a look in.

Maybe they don't take you seriously because you're overqualified? Have you applied for anything that fits your qualifications?

There are plenty of plebs around that could probably use some help with accounting and taxes. Have you thought about going into business for yourself?

That’s precisely why I dm’d the hiring manager on LinkedIn. I explained that I’m aware I’m over qualified but I assure you I’m not coming for your job. I’m not interested in going into business myself. I’m currently employed and have been considering retirement but I would like to work in bitcoin as my final stop before I call it a career.
