So I figured I'd reach out to a what I thought was a BTC maxi friend but apparently I was mistaken... While he's taking his time to respond back to me... So I get to find out why he's bashing on BTC....

Being that #nostr is such a BTC maxi space... What are in your view some reasons that #altcoiners may not be digging #btc all that much?

Help me get the full 360 view perspective on it.

mostly they are wanting to have moar freedom but they think that bitcoin is too rigid or something

i fought the maxi urge from 2012 and in 2021 i fell onto twitter and immediately to the bitcoin twitter and then as i was working on shit to do with avalanche and solana and shit and cosmos the whole scene blew up starting with terra/luna and yeah, let's just say it black pilled me hard, that was it, i became pure blooded maxi at that point and never going back

i was already a proof of work maxi in 2018 after actually studying how it worked

then eventually i realised, sadly, that there can only be one monetary ledger based on proof of work

the rest of the scene is just securities dressed up as bitcoin

they hate us because they wish they were legit like us

i could go into deep explanations from a technical perspective why you can't have a legit money other than bitcoin and why we don't need any other money than bitcoin but i'll leave that for another time

Lol, I got schooled... Love talking to real people and getting real perspectives... He's been at it for 12 years feels a little jinxed... Seen people lose their lives literally, and lose it, all, over the years... Did have at least one good thing to say about Bitcoin (liquidity)... But basically a very pessimistic view - believing it will never be mass adopted - not just BTC but any crypto whatsoever. (Not my words).

But good to keep it real and not orange pill myself too deep.

We shall see.
