Definitely growing. How far this movement will grow remains to be seen but it has two main things going for it:
1) freedom and sovereignty appeals to a broad set of people from all different localities / cultures / nationalities / occupations / backgrounds.
2) there are accessible and open-source software and hardware tools available to that broad set of people so they can increase their freedom quotient if they want to.
I think #2 is the main catalyst and reason why this movement can actually grow unbounded and ultimately succeed. Most “movements” only serve to stoke existing discontent with nothing actionable behind them other than angry people yelling into the void as the issues churn on and intensify.
Having a vehicle for change is definitely makes a huge difference.
