They know. They've become protective of their frailty and understanding of the world.
They have receeded. Acting like pathetic victims of rape who hide their victimization because maybe, just maybe they are ashamed they didn't listen to people who dared to give a shit about them.
They just had to go to that after party with the cool fun guys from the bar.
Their identities are constructed on piles of horseshit. Yet, they'd still look down at you for continuing to tell the truth as if they sre sitting on a high horse, instead of a mound of horse shit.
