📡️ How to exit your potentially cringe current cellular setup (one way, not the only way) with magic internet money 💰️🧙‍♂️️

1. Get some Darknet money (Monero)

There are various ways to do this:

Luno, ChangeNow, StealthEX, P2P-in-the-alley trades, Bisq, Haveno, etc.

2. Buy an eSIM profile from silent.link

Data never expires with this service. They are not the only one out there but their's works thus far. Their APN (thing that let's you get internet access) is hosted "in the EU and Israel" (according to the anonymous operator).

You can roam on various different networks. I suggest the Data.Plus plan - as this one only worked for me. The cheaper plan below it didn't hook onto any ZA network. Silent.link admin recommended I upgraded for better network compatibility.

Service is payable in Monero, Bitcoin and Bitcoin over lightning and other coins.

3. VoIP and SMS

I have used JMP.chat's VoIP service. It let's you message people (SMS) and call them (VoIP) over a Jabber connection. It looks like a normal instant messenger and, on Android, integrates into your dialer app.

Also XMPP is great, so you get that too.

The service is payable in Monero, Bitcoin and Bitcoin-over-lightning.

4. eSIM adaptor (optional)

My old yee-yee ass phone dodesn't support eSIM (it doesn't have the hardware for an eSIM). But, you can order from JMP.Chat a programmable eSIM that comes in the form of a physical sSIM card.

It's eSIM emulation!

They have an app for programming your eSIM and installing the profile on it (note, do this registration step with an IPv4 connection - not IPv6 (it won't work)).
