Am I supposed to get a notification or something about the zap,? I see a deposit in my wallet but without checking that I wouldn't have known.
What wallet are you using? You have to have a wallet that supports NIP-57 to get a notification.

Yes, I see it now.
Basically the question depends on your wallet. Alby has a selective notification engine that won’t alert you right away when you receive a payment. You may be able to get around that by importing it into BlueWallet, but even that app has some quirks when it comes to instant alerts for payments.
The best options I’ve seen are Wallet of Satoshi and LightningTipBot (LN.tips) that lives in Telegram. Both support NIP-57. LN.tips has a nice feature where you can get an anonymous LN address, and it can also be linked to BlueWallet. It’s my favorite for notifications because it pings you on Telegram when it receives a zap.

What's your take on Phoenix wallet (non custodial)?
I haven’t used Phoenix wallet. I don’t mind keeping a few sats on WoS to have fun on nostr. If they rug me, I won’t be rekt.
